What it is really like to become a blogger
If you are reading this then you are probably playing with the idea of becoming a blogger or have just started the journey. Multiple reasons encourage people to write blogs but the one reason we all have in common is that we are writers.

Expectation vs Reality
Expectation is your belief that something is a particular way. I believed blogging was going to be simple, but I as dug deeper into the career/hobby it became apparent I was wrong. It is somewhat simple to create aesthetically pleasing home pages and images. Of course the easiest part is the writing once you know your niche. Would you like to know the hard part? The answer to that question is advertising. No need to fret if you have more than a handful of followers on social media platforms such as; Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest to name a few. The presence of social media is massive so when your follower count is low across the board it can limit who is viewing your posts.
A Solution to the Problem
Problems always need solutions and people always want answers. I am only providing information that I am currently testing so do not hold me accountable if the results are not what you desired. If they are great results then I am accountable (only accepting the positive) for the method. Right then, the approach that I have adopted is the expansion of my community. You need to view social platforms as online communities and make connections with those with similar interests to you. The way that I am currently expanding is though following others who follow established bloggers. I do check their content to see if it matches my niche or has any similarities.
Normally people only follow those that they like but, I would suggest also following those that differ from you. This serves you with the opportunity of identifying gaps in the niche or even forming a whole new niche. Do not dismiss what you have not tested.
DO YOU HAVE TIME?
Guys, please know that blogging is time consuming at first, writing with speed is a skill. The established bloggers which I have researched briefly mention writing more than 2 blogs a day. Fast right? Well unless you are an experienced writer then for most us it will take practice to become perfect.
I dropped the word images earlier and now I will go on to explain why it has re-emerged. Images which are attractive can stop people in their scrolling mode. You need that curiosity to grow in order for them to click on that post. Various apps like Canva are brilliant, as they have the right features to help you create stunning images for your posts. Here is an example:

The image needs to be bright, clear and relevant to the topic. As you can see I have chosen a bright pink background with white writing in capita letters. To accent the background I used blue flowers, it also helps soften the boldness.
Can you make money?
Yes you can!!! Money can be made by blogging in a variety of ways for example; affiliate marketing, advertising for companies, sell your own product, or allow for other bloggers to appear on your site. An appearance is a good way to make money, allowing you to set the rates. It is more lucrative when the follower account is higher but you never know. No! I have not made any money as of yet, it is a work in progress though. When I do start to make money I will update you all and let you know how I achieved that goal.
The unknown
Making money and having people subscribe to your blog is wonderful, however make sure all of your actions are legal. Right now I am trying to figure all this part out, go to coverkit.com for more information on the subject (it is not an affiliate link).
Is it worth me doing?
1000% start blogging, do not let set backs terminate your beginning before you have even begun. If you really feel as though it is the right path for you then go ahead and take a leap of faith.
Do I enjoy it?
I can not stop writing I have to cut myself off from the screen, otherwise I would be up all night. It’s that mum Violet blog is my outlet as a full time stay at home mother. For all the mother’s out there you know how hard it is.
